What is PetDiary
PetDiary is an iOS app for recording your pets' daily life: photo diaries, multi-pet profiles, vaccination and weight tracking, expense bookkeeping, and scheduled reminders. All data stays on your device — no accounts, no ads, no uploads.
FAQ
Where is my data stored? Is it safe?
Everything (diaries, photos, pet profiles, expenses, reminders) is stored only locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to any server, and we have no access to it. Deleting the app deletes all of its data.
Will my data survive switching phones or reinstalling?
App data migrates with iOS system backups (e.g., full-device iCloud backup). Uninstalling the app deletes its data, so make sure system backup is enabled before removing it.
Will diary photos take up a lot of space?
No. Photos are compressed before saving (1600px on the long edge, a few hundred KB each), and your originals are never touched. You can also long-press a photo in the diary to save it to your photo library.
My reminders didn't fire?
Please check: 1) "Profile → Allow Reminder Notifications" is on; 2) system Settings → Notifications → PetDiary is allowed; 3) the reminder time is in the future. Past times never fire.
Is English supported?
Yes. Switch anytime in "Profile → Language" between 中文 and English — it takes effect immediately.
